What Odesa's Pryvoz Looks Like a Week After the Shahed Attack

A week ago, on the night of July 24, Odesa became a target for enemy 'Shaheds'. The shelling caused damage to residential buildings, the 'Pryvoz' market, and the historical center of the city. The fire at 'Pryvoz' was so powerful that it could only be extinguished in the morning with the help of dozens of rescuers.

Journalists from the media resource Novyny.LIVE decided to visit 'Pryvoz' after the tragedy and see how the market is recovering from the attack.

'The market is alive, sellers are trading, voices can be heard from the streets, fresh vegetables and fruits are on display. But just a little off the main alley — and the consequences of the night shelling immediately catch the eye: broken windows, shattered walls, damaged facades. The smell of smoke is still in the air. Despite everything, the entrepreneurs do not give up'

Labor Process at the Market After the RF Attack

The first days after the attack were hard for the 'Pryvoz' market. The fire, tears, and helplessness frightened both the owners of the trading spots and the residents of the surrounding buildings. However, even on the first day, people did not lose hope.

'On the first day, everyone worked very hard — rebuilding, saving what was left... The next day, I was already wiping each candy from dust. We have no losses. We are working and will continue to work here'

After the tragic shelling of the 'Pryvoz' market in Odesa, the labor process began to recover. Despite the damage and difficulties, entrepreneurs and residents continue their work and strive for the restoration of normal life in the city.
