Frosts down to -12°C on Christmas: what the weather will be like in Ukraine on December 25.

According to ТСН: On Christmas, December 25, high atmospheric pressure will prevail in Ukraine. Meteorologist Ivan Semilyt from the Ukrhydrometcenter reported possible nighttime frosts down to -12°C and the likelihood of festive snow.

According to the meteorologist, cloudy weather with occasional clearings will dominate in Ukraine on Christmas.

Semilyt also noted that the meteorological conditions will be influenced by a zone of increased atmospheric pressure. In most regions, no precipitation is expected, except in mountainous areas.

"It will be mostly dry. Only in the Carpathians will there be a slight snowfall at night"

Temperature indicators

At night, the air temperature in Ukraine will generally range from -5 to -10°C. In the east and northeast of the country, thermometers may drop to -12°C, while in Transcarpathia and Crimea, a warming is expected — from +1 to -4 degrees.

During the day on December 24, frosty weather with temperatures ranging from -1 to -6°C is forecasted across the country. In the Transcarpathian region and Crimea, temperatures may rise to +5°C.

Meteorologist Natalkа Didenko noted that Christmas Eve and Christmas in Ukraine will be truly wintry. After a brief warming at the beginning of the week, significant frosts are expected on December 24-25. She emphasized that nature is returning to classic frosty weather just in time for the festive days.
