Ukrainian Air Defense Outperforms U.S. System in Recent Drone Attack Analysis.
Ukrainian Air Defense Proves Highly Effective Against Drone Assaults
According to UATV: Military-political analyst Dmytro Snehyrev, speaking on the FREEDOM TV channel, highlighted the ineffectiveness of American air defense systems during recent Iranian drone attacks. He contrasted this performance with Ukraine's own air defense network, which has demonstrated a high success rate against a multitude of threats. This comparison comes amid ongoing global discussions about the evolving nature of aerial warfare and defense capabilities.
On February 28, Snehyrev noted that Ukrainian defenders have faced waves of up to 400 drones and over 100 ballistic and cruise missiles. Under these intense conditions, Ukraine's air defense has managed to intercept and destroy between 80% and 85% of incoming targets, a figure that underscores the advanced skill level of its military personnel.

The Critical Need for Enhanced Defense Capabilities
Snehyrev further emphasized the military dimension of the U.S.-Iran confrontation, pointing to the practical revelations about the strengths and weaknesses of different air defense systems. To bolster Ukraine's defensive posture, more than a dozen NASAMS air defense systems have been received from Norway, significantly contributing to enhanced combat readiness.
Concurrently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stressed the country's urgent need to strengthen its air defenses and expand its domestic weapons production. These elements are deemed crucial for ensuring Ukraine's security against the escalating threats posed by the aggressor state.
Snehyrev's analysis on the comparative performance of air defense systems underscores their critical importance in modern military conflicts. It also illustrates how the Ukrainian military continues to adapt to new challenges and evolving threats in a wartime environment. President Zelenskyy's call for reinforced air defense signals Ukraine's commitment to further building its defensive capabilities in the face of persistent aggression.
