Ukraine Urgently Seeks Funding for Military Tech Before Russia Adapts.
The Push for Military Technology Investment
According to Espreso.tv: Ukraine is stressing the urgent need for funding to advance military technology, aiming to strengthen its capabilities in the war against Russia. Officials in Kyiv are highlighting investments in drones and other defense innovations as a fleeting opportunity to bolster the country's defenses. The goal is to throw Russia off balance and build on Ukraine's battlefield successes.
Why Technological Assistance Matters
Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that Ukraine requires a new level of support to finalize its technological developments.
“We need the next level of help to be able to finish the work. If we have enough resources to launch a new cycle of military innovation before Russia adapts to the current one, we will gain another six months,” Fedorov stated. He also pointed out that in a technology-driven war, speed of funding and action is critical.
“Ukraine is defending all of Europe from the Russians,” he added.
Additionally, the country is actively working to improve its air defense systems and mobilization processes. The total budget for the initial programs of Brave International, the global arm of the Brave1 defense technology cluster, exceeds 100 million euros. Ukraine is also seeking partners for joint grant competitions focused on defense development, underscoring its commitment to international security collaboration.
This focus on funding new military technology represents a crucial step for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict. Support from international partners in this area could significantly impact the country's ability to resist aggression. Attracting investment in drones and other defense technologies also reflects Ukraine's ambition not only to strengthen its own forces but also to contribute to the security of the entire European region.
