Andriy Yermak to Lead New Committee for Victims of Armed Aggression and Compensation.

New Committee Established for Victims of Aggression

According to TSN.ua: Andriy Yermak has been appointed to head a newly formed committee within the National Bar Association of Ukraine. This body will focus on protecting the rights of victims of armed aggression and developing compensation mechanisms. This initiative, launched by Lidiya Izovitova, involves the creation of four specialized committees.

Under Yermak's leadership, the Committee on the Protection of Victims of Armed Aggression aims to secure rights and establish legal frameworks for individuals harmed by the conflict. It is intended to become a vital tool for addressing compensation claims and safeguarding victims' rights. This move comes as Ukraine continues to seek legal avenues for redress and justice for its citizens.

Other Committees and Their Chairs

As part of this new structure, three other committees were also established, each led by prominent experts:

• Hanna Ishchenko - Committee on Legal Support and Protection of Rights in the Field of Mental Health
• Serhiy Antonenko - Committee on Oil, Gas, and Subsoil Use
• Luiza Romanadze - Committee on Mediation

Andriy Yermak has held a license to practice law since 1995. Following his dismissal from the position of Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine on November 28, 2025, he resumed his right to practice law in January 2026. The committee he now leads is expected to significantly enhance legal protections for affected individuals in Ukraine.

The formation of this committee represents a crucial step in addressing the growing challenges posed by armed aggression and the need for effective legal safeguards for victims.
