According to inkorr.com: The Governor of Volgograd Region Andrey Bocharov reported on the effective operation of the air defense system, which managed to repel a drone attack on the energy infrastructure of the region. As a result of the incident, a fire broke out at the 'Balashovskaya' substation.
Fire services quickly began to extinguish the fire. However, neighboring Saratov also suffered: the oil refinery sustained damage, and the activities of the local airport were suspended.
In the face of heightened threats, it is critically important to respond quickly and ensure the safety of critical infrastructure to prevent similar incidents in the future.
