On the night of February 22, the Ukrainian capital and its suburbs were attacked by Russian drones. As a result of the debris from one of these drones falling in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, a fire broke out in the territory of private buildings. Rescue workers are on site, reported the mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

Also, in the Kyiv region, there was an attack by Russian drones. In the Boryspil district, a fire broke out in a warehouse, and a private house, an educational institution, and an apartment in a multi-storey building were damaged. One person died at a railway crossing.

A Russian teenager, 18 years old, was detained in Berlin for planning a terrorist attack on the Israeli embassy. According to the investigation, he had Islamist or political motives for these actions.

In Bratislava, thousands of people took to the streets to demand the resignation of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. Protests also took place in other cities of the country. Fico, who is known for his conflicts with the opposition and the media, has no intention of resigning.

During a press conference in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, U.S. President Donald Trump answered questions from journalists, including those concerning Ukraine. He announced that the next round of negotiations between Russia and the U.S. will take place in Saudi Arabia. He also condemned information about his arrival in Russia on Victory Day. Trump refused to answer questions about Russian President Vladimir Putin, considering cooperation with Russia and Ukraine to be important.
