Drone Attack on Gazprom Plant: Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant Halts Fuel Production.
According to inkorr.com: The Astrakhan gas processing plant, owned by Gazprom, has suspended operations due to a drone attack. As a result of the assault, a unit engaged in the production of condensate for gasoline and diesel fuel caught fire.
Recovery of Plant Operations
According to Reuters, the plant may resume its activities within a few weeks or months. In 2024, it processed 1.8 million tons of condensate, which allowed for the production of more than one million tons of fuel.
It is worth noting that this is not the first case of a drone attack on the Astrakhan gas processing plant. A similar situation occurred in February 2022 when the plant was actively processing natural gas and gas condensate.
History of the Enterprise
The drone attack led to a halt in production at the gas processing plant in Astrakhan. This is an important moment, considering previous episodes in the history of this enterprise.
The events surrounding the Astrakhan gas processing plant once again highlight the importance of safety at strategic energy facilities. The situation regarding the resumption of the plant's operations will remain a focus of attention, as it will affect fuel supplies in the region and the overall energy balance.
