Lviv Attacked: Municipal Worker Clears Snow Amidst Russian Drone Strikes

According to Novyny.live: On January 15, 2023, the western Ukrainian city of Lviv came under attack by Russian drones. Despite the explosions echoing around her, a municipal worker named Olha continued to perform her duties, clearing snow from the streets. Lviv's mayor, Andriy Sadovyi, reported that a Russian projectile detonated near the woman, but she emerged physically unharmed. This incident highlights the daily reality for Ukrainians, where routine work and sudden danger often intersect.

The blast wave from the projectile also affected a tractor driver working nearby. In response to the attack, streets in Lviv were temporarily closed to ensure resident safety. During the assault, one of the Russian drones crashed near a monument to Stepan Bandera, a Ukrainian nationalist leader.

The Critical Need to Follow Safety Protocols

Mayor Andriy Sadovyi stressed the vital importance of adhering to safety rules during air raid alarms, urging all residents to seek shelter immediately.

This assault underscored the tense security situation across Ukraine, including in western regions typically considered less vulnerable to direct military action. It is notable that municipal services persist in their duties even under threat, demonstrating the resilience and dedication of local workers. Residents must continue to follow safety measures and remain prepared for potential future threats.
