Moscow Refinery Hit and Other Strikes on Aggressor Targets

According to Novyny.live: Ukraine's General Staff has confirmed a successful strike on the Moscow Oil Refinery, destroying several fuel storage tanks and hitting additional targets inside Russia and in occupied territories. On June 18, 2026, a complex oil processing unit at the Moscow refinery—located roughly 15 kilometers from the Kremlin—was struck. The attack destroyed three RVS-10000 tanks and one RVS-30000 tank, forcing the facility to halt oil refining indefinitely.

In addition, strikes were carried out on June 18 and overnight into June 19, 2026, targeting Russian aggressor assets. Railway bridges were hit near Rozdolne and Vladyslavivka in the temporarily occupied areas of Crimea. A concentration of weapons and military equipment near Sievierodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast was also struck. In Mariupol, Donetsk Oblast, a fuel and lubricants depot was targeted.

Drone Control Centers Targeted

Furthermore, Ukrainian forces struck unmanned aerial vehicle control centers near Pokrovsk, Voskresenka, Siversk, Novoivanivka, and Maliivka.

“Ukraine’s defense forces will continue systematic strikes until the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine is fully stopped.” - General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the situation, noting that “three layers of air defense around Moscow were unable to prevent it.”

These developments highlight an intensification of Ukrainian military operations aimed at damaging Russia's war-supporting infrastructure. Hitting strategic assets like the oil refinery can disrupt fuel and resource supplies for Russian forces. Attacks on railway bridges and drone command centers further underscore Ukraine’s efforts to degrade the enemy’s ability to conduct operations in occupied territories and deep in the rear. Such actions are expected to continue as part of Ukraine's broader defensive strategy against Russian aggression.
