RF attacks paralyze Kyiv's energy system: Left Bank without electricity for the fifth day

According to ТСН: The situation with electricity supply in Kyiv has become complicated due to the attack by the Russian Federation. Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolisnyk confirmed that the enemy's nighttime strikes complicate the restoration of the electricity grid.

“Emergency restoration work is ongoing almost around the clock, despite the difficult weather conditions, in order to stabilize and return to the planned schedule as quickly as possible. However, the situation is quite complicated. We cannot provide any forecasts right now, as the enemy continues its attacks,” said Kolisnyk.

The capital is suffering from a blackout after a massive nighttime strike: the CHPs have been damaged, and the Left Bank has already been without heating and electricity for the fifth day. Many supermarkets are closing, and the temperature in homes is around 16°C.

The company “Ukrenergo” has introduced emergency disconnections that operate independently of hourly schedules. Night schedules continue to function, but daytime disconnections are implemented to stabilize the situation. However, the enemy's attacks hinder more effective recovery efforts.

It should be noted that in the capital, sirens continued in the morning due to the threat of new attacks. The enemy army launched a missile attack on Kyiv, and the alarm in the city lasted from 04:15.

Problems with electricity supply are also being felt in Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel in the Kyiv region.

The situation with electricity supply in the capital and surrounding areas remains critical. Local residents continue to endure the consequences of the attacks, while energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity supply. Given the duration of the attacks and the unfavorable weather conditions, recovery efforts may take some more time.
