The US Senate Appropriations Committee has approved a bill for military spending allocating approximately 1 billion dollars to support Ukraine. This happened on Thursday, July 31.
The committee approved an allocation of 852 billion dollars for the Pentagon for the fiscal year, which is 21.7 billion more than requested by US President Donald Trump. Of this amount, 800 million dollars is earmarked for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) and 225 million dollars for the Baltic Security Initiative.
