Beaver Supermoon on November 5: How and When Ukrainians Can Watch.
According to inkorr.com: On November 5, Ukrainians will be able to observe a unique astronomical phenomenon - the closest supermoon to Earth in 2025, known as the Beaver Supermoon. This is already the second supermoon of this year, which will be located less than 357 thousand kilometers from our planet. According to NASA, it will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter compared to a regular full moon.
When and How to Observe
The full moon will occur on November 4, and on the 5th it will be visible in the sky. The best conditions for observation will be in the evening of November 6, when the moon will be located in the constellation Taurus, next to the star cluster Pleiades. No special equipment will be needed for observation - only a clear sky without clouds.
The name 'Beaver Moon' comes from the traditions of Native Americans and early European settlers who used the lunar calendar to determine the seasons. November got its name due to the activity of beavers and the final hunting season for them.
Previous Supermoons
In October, we also observed a supermoon known as the Hunter's Moon, which was bright due to its proximity to Earth. Scientists from China studied soil samples delivered from the far side of the Moon and discovered that they contained complex components with a basalt content of 30 to 40%.
The Beaver Supermoon on November 5 will provide Ukrainians with a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the celestial world and gain an unforgettable experience of observation.
The Beaver Supermoon promises to be a bright event for astronomy enthusiasts and anyone who just wants to enjoy the beauty of a celestial phenomenon. With the ability to observe the moon without special equipment, everyone will be able to appreciate its grandeur and beauty.
