Battles in Kursk Region: Local Authorities Declare Population Evacuation.
Evacuation from Shelled Areas of Kursk Region
More than 200 people were evacuated from shelled areas of the Kursk region, and several thousand more left by personal transport. This was reported by acting governor Alexei Smirnov. Medics from Moscow and St. Petersburg have departed for the region, and the federal center is providing additional funds and other assistance to the Kursk region.
The Ukrainian side has remained silent so far, but Russian media report rapid advances by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. Information is spreading that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have occupied settlements in the Sudzhansky district. Local social media claim that communication has disappeared in the settlements of the Kursk region, the governor urges calm, and local residents are pleading for evacuation.
Propagandists acknowledge that the situation in the Kursk region is quite tense, Ukrainian forces are actively advancing and conducting a military operation on Russian territory. The Russian Ministry of Defense also acknowledges that battles with Ukrainian Armed Forces units are ongoing in the Kursk region.
