Fighting for the city of Kup'yansk continues
According to inkorr.com: Heavy fighting for control of the city of Kup'yansk is still ongoing in the Kharkiv region. As reported by the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation Andriy Kovalenko, Russian terrorists are currently not in the city center.
“As of now, there are no Russians in the center of Kup'yansk. Intense battles for Kup'yansk are ongoing,” the message states.
Previously, information appeared that Russian troops had already reached the center of Kup'yansk, and armed clashes were taking place there. However, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation 'Dnipro', Colonel Oleksiy Bielskiy, denied this information.
Strategic importance of occupation
The occupation of Kup'yansk is a key objective for Russian military in the region, as noted by the spokesperson for the Operational-Strategic Group of Troops 'Dnipro', Oleksiy Bielskiy. Russian military previously used underground pipelines to advance through Ukrainian defensive positions in other regions.

Analysts from DeepState report that Russian occupiers are using gas pipelines to approach Kup'yansk across the Oskil River. According to DeepState data, their route to the city takes about four days.

The occupation of this city holds significant strategic importance for Russian troops, who are trying to advance in the region using gas pipelines after previous successful operations in other areas.
