John Bolton: Putin risks losing his relationship with Trump over the Ukrainian conflict
Former National Security Advisor John Bolton expressed outrage over the risk of Russian President Vladimir Putin 'losing' his relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump due to the situation surrounding the war cessation in Ukraine.
'Putin has already received many concessions regarding what he wants. ... at this stage, he risks losing in his relationship with Trump',
noted Bolton, emphasizing the need to strengthen trust and a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.
Pressure on Russia and attempts to stop the war
Ukraine and its European allies are seeking a temporary ceasefire for 30 days, starting as early as next week. President Trump called on both sides to sign a truce to avoid new sanctions against Russia. Meanwhile, the United States is prepared to abandon its mediating role if progress is insufficient.
According to Ukraine's Foreign Minister and Trump critic John Bolton, it is important for Russia to agree to a ceasefire to allow its armed forces to recover and improve the situation in the region.
