Competition for the expansion of ammunition production in Ukraine
The First Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced the start of a competition from the Brave1 defense technology cluster aimed at expanding ammunition production in Ukraine.“Ukraine managed to create a private market for ammunition from scratch in two years. Along with Brave1, manufacturers received support, expertise, and a quick path to the front. 40+ companies, 230+ codified products, and hundreds of thousands of destroyed targets,” the minister said.Fedorov emphasized that the total amount of investment could reach 150 million hryvnias, but it will only be provided on the condition of co-financing at the level of 30%. The terms of the competition will remain unpublished, and details will only be provided to those manufacturers who send a request by September 9, passing compliance and signing an NDA.During the selection process, technical expertise, control tests, and monitoring of implementation will be conducted. Companies that receive funding will be able to use the funds to increase ammunition production volumes to maximize the defeat of the enemy.This initiative aims to attract private companies to the development of the defense industry and strengthen Ukraine's combat capability.The development of the defense industry is critically important for ensuring national security, especially in the context of modern warfare. The Brave1 competition opens new opportunities for manufacturers and investors, which will contribute not only to increasing production volumes but also to enhancing the technological level of the Ukrainian defense sector.
