The Bring Kids Back UA Initiative

According to UATV: Two young Ukrainians have been successfully repatriated from temporarily occupied territories through the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, launched by Ukraine's President. Daniil, 19, managed to return independently to Ukrainian-controlled land. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Viktoriia had been forcibly deported to Russia. This effort is part of the broader international response to the humanitarian crisis caused by Russia's full-scale invasion.

The Bring Kids Back UA project is implemented under the program 'Return and Reintegration of Children and Youth Affected by Russian Deportation and Occupation.' It receives funding from the organization Terre des hommes Deutschland, which supports the return of Ukrainian children and youth victimized by the war.

Support and Reintegration

Both Viktoriia and Daniil are now on free Ukrainian soil, where they are receiving the necessary support for recovery and adaptation. The Bring Kids Back UA initiative aims to help young people who have endured traumatic experiences return to a normal life. Their cases highlight the ongoing struggle to locate and repatriate thousands of Ukrainian minors who have been displaced or deported since the war began.

This initiative is a crucial component of efforts by Ukrainian authorities and international organizations to protect the rights of children and youth during armed conflict. The successful return of these young people underscores the importance of supporting victims and the necessity of international cooperation in resolving humanitarian crises stemming from warfare.
