Britain will help Ukraine investigate Putin's crimes.
The UK government has announced a financial aid package of £4.5 million for investigating war crimes committed by Russia. This funding is intended to support the process of documenting, investigating, and holding criminals accountable. The supply of funding to Ukraine will be an additional support from the UK, which is cooperating with the United States and the European Union through the Advisory Group on Investigating Serious Crimes.
'There can be no lasting peace without accountability,' said UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
Lammy also praised the Ukrainians for their courage, which he saw firsthand during his visit to Kyiv. He confirmed that the UK will continue to support Ukraine to ensure its security and the security of Europe.
A new aid package from the UK worth £225 million was also announced by the UK Secretary of State for Defence, John Healey. He emphasized the need to streamline access for Ukrainians and mobilize more people into military service.
It should be noted that earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the end of the war in Ukraine and announced the conditions of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump.
