British farmers brought 23 pickups to Lviv for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
23 SUVs were handed over to the military in Lviv
In Lviv, as part of the 'Pickups for Peace' initiative, 23 SUVs were handed over to Ukrainian military. The vehicles arrived from Great Britain with the help of volunteers, farmers, and donors who have been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the war. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maxim Kozytsky.
The vehicles were handed over as part of an initiative that was started by British farmer Mark Laird.
'These 23 vehicles will be used by the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, the 80th Air Assault Brigade, air defense units, and other formations. They will be tools, hands, and shields for those who are fighting hard for the future of Ukraine,' said Maxim Kozytsky.
Along with the vehicles, humanitarian cargo was also delivered - tactical medicine, generators, charging stations, and other equipment.
Mark Laird has been helping Ukraine since 2014. Since the start of the invasion, he has mobilized nearly a thousand volunteers from Great Britain, the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, and Sweden. During this time, they have delivered over 595 vehicles for frontline needs. Donors are not limited to supporting the army; they also deliver part of the cargo to the St. Nicholas Children's Hospital, a military hospital, and a children's orphanage in the Lviv region.
Earlier, the famous Ukrainian singer Iryna Fedishyn handed over 100 vehicles to various military units in hot spots on the frontline.
The monobank team also decided to help Ukraine by raising funds for the production of nuclear weapons.
