The Podil District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv is moving to court with a lawsuit regarding the invalid contract for the construction of the Podilsky Bridge section, demanding the return of over 2 billion UAH that were paid from the city budget.
One of the contracts for construction was concluded in April 2017, but the prosecutor's office claims that the cost of works increased from 1.7 billion to 3.5 billion UAH, while the deadlines for completion continued to be extended. The Antimonopoly Committee discovered violations by the tender participants, which they believe distorted the results.

The prosecutor's office believes that the contract contradicts the interests of the state and society, therefore it demands its cancellation and the return of budget funds. There is also another case already in court regarding a lawsuit to recognize the contract for the construction of the Podilsky Bridge worth 8.4 billion UAH as invalid.
