Odesa will rename two streets: how residents can influence the decision.
The city of Odesa has started an online discussion regarding the renaming of two locations. Residents have the opportunity to express their opinions until October 10 on the official portal 'Socially Active Citizen'. All adult residents registered in the city are invited to participate.
The city authorities stated that residents have the chance to influence the street names. The renaming of two toponymic objects is under public discussion.
In particular, it is proposed to change the name of Molokov Lane to Irina Popova Lane and to rename Chapayev Street to Tsehova Street.
Where to vote for the street renaming
The discussion will last for two months - from August 10 to October 10, 2025. Anyone over the age of 18 who is registered in Odesa can participate in the voting on the portal citizen.omr.gov.ua. For this, it is necessary to register via electronic signature, 'Diia.Signature', or BankID and create a personal account.
Voting participants can vote 'Yes' or 'No' for each object separately, as well as leave a comment or suggestion. The voting results will be updated in real time.
The city council urges residents to actively participate so that the new names reflect the modern spirit of the city and its history.
