The Center for Counteracting Disinformation refuted fake news about border checks with Poland.
Fake News about Border Checks
According to inkorr.com: The Center for Counteracting Disinformation reported that information about strict checks on Ukrainian citizens at the Polish-Ukrainian border is false. As noted by the portal 'Hromadske', hostile Telegram channels are spreading rumors that Polish border guards are forcing Ukrainians to strip 'down to their underwear' in search of 'banned tattoos' and checking their phones.
The Center noted that the images of information stands circulating online have been altered using graphic editors and contain many errors, indicating their fake nature. The main goal of this disinformation is to sow distrust between Ukrainians and Poles, which may harm Ukrainian-Polish relations.
Consequences of the Polish President's Veto
The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, vetoed the law on assistance to Ukrainians, which may create difficulties for those not working in the country. The Ukrainian Embassy in Poland is conducting consultations on this issue. At the same time, this veto will not affect the operations of the Starlink internet provider in Ukraine, which is funded by Poland.
Challenges for Returning Ukrainians
Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, warns that Ukrainians returning home after the war may face serious challenges, such as social tensions and emotional alienation.
This news highlights the importance of information security and trust between countries, and raises questions about supporting Ukrainians who wish to return to their homeland. In the face of rising social challenges, it is important to maintain open dialogue and seek solutions to issues that are relevant to Ukrainian citizens returning from abroad.
