The Ministry of Education assures: students and teachers will not be mobilized even during vacation.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine officially stated that there are no plans to mobilize students, graduate students, scientists, and other education workers who are entitled to deferment. This information pertains to both the study period and the summer vacation. The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Oksen Lisovyi, reported this on Facebook.

The Minister noted that any inconsistencies regarding the possible mobilization of students and education workers will be resolved in accordance with the law on mobilization. Currently, there are no discussions on this topic at the government level.

The emergence of information about possible mobilization is related to inaccuracies in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated January 16 regarding the procedure for obtaining deferment from conscription into the army. This document provides for the possibility of obtaining deferment until the end of the academic year, which raises doubts about the status of students and teachers during the summer period.
