Internally displaced persons receive social assistance: who is entitled to payments.
According to inkorr.com: Internally displaced persons who have left their homes due to the war and are registered as unemployed are entitled
to apply for state social assistancefor low-income families. The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained the procedure and conditions for obtaining these payments, as reported by
Sud.ua.
Who can receive payments for low-income families
Assistance is provided to families whose average income is below the minimum living wage determined for their specific household composition. According to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution of February 24, 2003, No. 250, payments are calculated for six months from the date of application. If the family continues to meet the requirements, the assistance is automatically extended for another six months. The amount of payments is determined as the difference between the minimum living wage for the family and its actual income.
Documents required for applying for assistance for low-income families
To receive assistance, unemployed internally displaced persons must submit an application and a package of documents. This can be done in several ways:
- In person at service centers of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
- Online via the PFU web portal or the mobile application 'Pension Fund'.
- Through the 'Diia' portal.
- At local self-government bodies or CNAP.
- By mail, sending documents to the address of the territorial PFU office.
The list of documents must include:
- A standard application form.
- An identification document (passport or ID card).
- A declaration of income and property status.
- Income certificates (if necessary).
- Combatant participant certificate (if available).
The PFU emphasizesthat having a complete package of documents can speed up the processing of the application and the issuance of payments. There is a likelihood of delays in the case of submitting an incomplete set or discovering discrepancies. It is recommended to check the validity of the data at the employment center before applying.
