When will Irpin and Hostomel get electricity: comment from the Deputy Minister of Energy.
Comment on electricity supply in Irpin and Hostomel
According to ТСН: Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolysnyk commented on the situation with electricity supply in Irpin and Hostomel. Journalists asked about the forecasts that appeared in the media and reports from the DTEK company, indicating a possible restoration of electricity supply no earlier than 02:25 on January 15.
Kolysnyk emphasized that there are currently no official forecasts regarding the timeline for restoring electricity supply.
“I urge everyone to rely solely on information from the operators of the OSP, Ukrenergo, and local Obenergo,”he noted.
He also added that emergency restoration works are currently ongoing, and only after their completion will it be possible to establish a schedule for electricity supply based on actual restoration.
Recall that since 01:30 on January 12, the Irpin community has been without electricity due to a massive missile-drone attack from Russia during severe frosts. At the same time, the enemy struck energy facilities in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Earlier, information circulated on the internet that Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel were almost completely without power due to explosions, and residents were only informed about possible restoration of electricity supply on January 15.
This situation highlights the difficulties faced by Ukrainian regions during the holiday period. The lack of electricity in such conditions adds a new dimension to the challenges facing local communities, especially in the winter months when energy needs increase. The promptness of restoration works and coordination with residents remain extremely important for returning to normal life.
