Russian troops did not enter Hulyaipole: defense forces stopped the advance.
The situation in Hulyaipole, Zaporizhzhia region
According to ТСН: The Russian military failed to enter Hulyaipole, located in the Zaporizhzhia region, and were stopped at the approaches to the city.
Spokesman for the southern defense forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, reported in a television marathon 'Unified News' that the situation on the Zaporizhzhia front remains complicated: the enemy continues to attack and tries to push back the Ukrainian Defense Forces. However, he assured that there are no Russian troops in Hulyaipole.
'The enemy is stopped and blocked at the approaches to this populated area. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting countermeasures against enemy attacks. Search-strike actions continue to locate groups attempting to infiltrate this populated area. Therefore, there are no combat clashes in Hulyaipole itself. The enemy has not entered this populated area,' said the spokesman for the southern defense forces.
In the past day, there were nearly 70 combat clashes in three southern Zaporizhzhia directions - Orikhiv, Hulyaipole, and Oleksandrivka - while the day before there were 87.
'This indicates that the enemy is not reducing its assault activity and continues their assault actions. Mainly, these are small infantry groups consisting of 3-5-7 persons. However, in the Oleksandrivka direction near the settlement of Verbove, the enemy attempted to attack with tanks,' he explained.
Moreover, Russian troops are actively using motorcycles for attacks, particularly in the Oleksandrivka direction. At the same time, due to thick fog, the use of drones at the front has significantly decreased.
Earlier, it was reported that the RF army is trying to isolate Hulyaipole.
Currently, the situation in Hulyaipole remains tense, but thanks to the efforts of Ukrainian defenders, the city is still under control. The continuation of the struggle for control in this region is critically important for both the Ukrainian army and the safety of the civilian population. Observers note that the activity of hostilities at the front indicates the enemy's attempts to increase pressure on Ukrainian positions.
