Up to 19,400 UAH in Solid Fuel Aid Available for Ukrainians: Who Qualifies.
Government Support for Purchasing Solid Fuel
According to Novyny.live: Households across Ukraine can now apply for state-funded assistance to buy solid fuel as part of preparations for the 2026–2027 heating season. This support program, which has been running since the summer of 2023, offers subsidies to specific groups and provides a one-time payment of up to 19,400 UAH for residents living in frontline communities. The initiative is designed to help families cope with rising energy costs and ensure they can stay warm during the colder months.
Subsidies and Benefits
Solid fuel subsidies are available to frontline communities in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Chernihiv regions. The amount each household receives is calculated individually based on its income. The standard annual need is set at 2 tons of solid fuel, with the maximum subsidy value capped at approximately 9,200 UAH.
It is important to note that war veterans, people with disabilities resulting from the war, and relatives of those killed in action qualify for benefits without any income assessment. To apply for this state aid, documents must be submitted by August 17, 2023. Required paperwork includes:
- an income declaration;
- a passport and taxpayer identification code;
- documents proving eligibility for the benefit;
- a certificate or official report confirming stove heating;
- bank account details (IBAN).
The program aims to support Ukrainian households during the challenging period of preparing for the heating season, ensuring they have the necessary resources to heat their homes. Given the importance of this initiative, Ukrainians in need of assistance can take advantage of this opportunity to secure comfortable living conditions throughout the winter.
By providing crucial financial aid, especially to those in frontline areas, the program helps ease the heavy burden of heating costs. Given the difficult socio-economic situation in Ukraine, implementing such initiatives is critical for maintaining stability and enabling households to function normally during the winter season.
