Russia will not capture Donbas in two months: journalist Shraika's data.
According to ТСН: Journalist Roman Shraika noted that claims about the possibility of Russia capturing Donbas within a few months are not true.
In his post on Telegram, he emphasized that over the past year, that is, during 365 days, Russia managed to capture only about 2.9 thousand square kilometers of Donetsk territory. Meanwhile, about 6.2 thousand square kilometers remain under Ukraine's control. The journalist also published a map showing the areas captured in the past year marked in red.
Situation in Luhansk region
As for the Luhansk region, Russia does not fully control it: over 100 square kilometers remain under Ukrainian control.
“I will not predict how long it will take Russia to fully capture Donbas, but definitely not two months,” Shraika emphasized.
It should be noted that earlier, forecasts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) regarding the pace at which Moscow could capture Donbas were also provided. Despite the forecasts, the actual situation shows significant difficulties for the occupying forces, which confirms the words of Roman Shraika.
