According to TSN.ua: Authorities in Ukraine have taken into custody the head of a department within the Ministry of Culture on charges of spreading pro-Russian propaganda. She now faces suspicion of justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The arrest followed a series of searches that uncovered mobile phones, laptops, a hard drive, and other data storage devices.
Ukraine's Security Service ordered a linguistic examination, which confirmed the detainee's involvement in information-subversive activities benefiting Russia. The charges fall under an article related to justifying and denying Russia's armed aggression. If convicted, she could receive up to eight years in prison along with the confiscation of her property.
University Lecturer Also Arrested
In a separate case, a 61-year-old university lecturer was detained in Kharkiv for allegedly working with Russia's Main Intelligence Directorate. She is suspected of passing the coordinates of Ukrainian military personnel to the enemy and directing strikes on the city. The suspect has been charged with high treason, which carries a potential sentence of life imprisonment with asset forfeiture.
