Why Ukrainian Men Cannot Register for Military Service Online.
Online Military Registration Remains Unavailable for Ukrainian Men
According to Novyny.live: All male Ukrainian citizens aged 17 and older are required to be registered for military service. However, men who have reached the age of 25 will find it impossible to complete this registration online, as current legislation does not provide for such a procedure. By the start of 2026, individuals not registered with their local Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRCs) must be aware of this limitation. This requirement is part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to maintain an accurate and functional military registry system.
The Current State of Online Registration
Experts confirm that an online registration system for military service does not currently exist. Yuriy Aivazian pointed out that
"such a practice does not exist because online registration is not provided for by law". Viacheslav Kyrdа confirmed that for men of the relevant age,
"it is unfortunately impossible to register for military service online".
If a citizen is unable to visit a TRC in person, there is a provision for automatic registration based on one's official place of residence. Yuriy Aivazian noted:
"The only thing you can count on is being registered automatically at your place of official residence". Consequently, men who have turned 17 must monitor their status and be prepared for the necessity of visiting a TRC to fulfill their military registration duties.
This information is crucial for men in Ukraine, as it underscores the requirement for in-person presence to complete military registration. Amidst ongoing military conflict and mobilization needs, adherence to these legal norms is particularly urgent. Citizens must be informed of their obligations and the options available if they are unable to physically visit a recruitment center.
