Men of conscription age who are abroad will not be forcibly returned to Ukraine. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic, Vasyl Zvarych.

Zvarych stated that the motivation to defend the state is a personal choice of each citizen. He also emphasized that it is the task of the state to create conditions for those who want to defend their country.

According to the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, about 253,000 men from Ukraine live in the country. Of these, over 95,000 are in the Czech Republic on a temporary protection visa and are aged between 18 and 65 years.

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky stated that his country does not support Ukrainian men who try to avoid mobilization by staying abroad. He also noted that the Czech Republic's capabilities are limited when it comes to forcibly returning citizens to their homeland.

Refugees from Ukraine bring profit to the Czech budget. In the first three months of this year, they contributed more than 3 billion Czech crowns to the state treasury.

The Prague Prosecutor's Office accused the Help Ukraine Fund of embezzling subsidies intended for the integration of Ukrainian refugees.
