There are no photos in the 'Reserve+' app: the main reason and how to fix it.
According to ТСН: Currently, photos in the 'Reserve+' app are not available to all users. This may be due to various factors, from system overload to a lack of necessary data in government registries.
This information was announced by the head of the Digital Transformation Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Artem Romanyuk, during a broadcast of the national telethon 'Unified News'.
Why there are no photos and how to fix it
According to Romanyuk, the main technical reason lies in the large number of users - about 6 million. The system gradually uploads photos to avoid failures.
If you still see a blank window instead of a photo, Romanyuk recommends taking two actions:
Update the 'Reserve+' app to the latest version via the App Store or Google Play.
Make a re-request in the app itself (update your military registration document).
"Most likely, for the majority of users, the photos will appear," assured a representative of the Ministry of Defense.
Who will never see a photo
However, there is a category of citizens for whom a photo will never appear in the app for technical reasons. This concerns those who do not have a biometric international passport.
"The only nuance is that photos in electronic form are available only to those who have a biometric international passport," Romanyuk explained.
The 'Reserve+' system uses photos from the demographic register, where images for international passports are stored. If you have an old passport booklet, the system will not be able to retrieve your digital photo.
Is the document valid without a photo
The Ministry of Defense emphasizes: if there is no photo - there is nothing to worry about. The electronic military registration document remains valid and legal.
However, there may be delays during checks on the street.
"For additional identification, you may be asked to provide other documents with a photo that confirm your identity," warned the specialist.
Therefore, if 'Reserve+' does not have your photo, it is advisable to carry your passport or driver's license so that representatives of the Territorial Center for Recruitment or the police can confirm your identity.
Recall that at the end of last month, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the start of open testing of the updated 'Reserve+' app, which allowed displaying the owner's photo in the electronic military registration document.
Thus, for users facing the problem of missing photos in the app, it is important to know about the possibilities for data updating. If you are not yet in the system due to the absence of a biometric passport, consider obtaining it to use the new features of the app in the future. For now, the electronic document remains valid regardless of visual confirmation.
