Ukrainian paratroopers captured 27 Russian soldiers in the Kursk region
Ukrainian paratroopers, along with other units, captured 27 servicemen of the Russian Federation in the Kursk region. A video of this event was published by the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The soldiers of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with comrades from other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, continue to carry out combat missions to hold specified areas in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. Thus, these days, during combat operations, 27 enemy fighters were captured, – the press service reported.
Ukrainian military captured officers, sergeants, and soldiers from various military units, such as motorized infantry units, naval infantry, airborne troops, and others. The captives represent various regions of Russia and occupied Sevastopol.
Finding themselves in a difficult combat situation, they made the right choice – they voluntarily laid down their arms, which saved their lives. All the wounded received medical assistance. We urge other soldiers of the Russian military – do not resist and surrender!, – emphasized the paratroopers.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian military also captured two soldiers from North Korea who fought in the Kursk region against Ukraine. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on January 11.
As reported, one of the captured North Korean soldiers wishes to remain in Ukraine, while the other wants to return to North Korea. This information is confirmed by a video of the interrogation published by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
