Children of fallen defenders have the right to payments even without a death certificate.
Right to financial assistance for children of deceased servicemen
According to Novyny.live: Children of deceased servicemen have the right to receive financial assistance even without documents confirming their death. Lawyer Vladislav Deryi explained how to obtain the necessary documents and arrange for payments. Close relatives of the deceased also have the right to state payments and inheritance.
Procedure for obtaining documents
In one case, a citizen approached lawyers with a question about the absence of documents confirming the father's death. Vladislav Deryi noted that the absence of a death certificate is not a dead end. He explained that all necessary duplicates can be obtained independently. To do this, one needs to contact any department of the State Register of Civil Status Acts in the controlled territory of Ukraine. The extraterritorial principle allows obtaining a document in any city, regardless of the place of death or registration of the father.
To obtain a duplicate of the death certificate, it is necessary to have:
- birth certificate;
- passport;
- identification code.
In addition, the lawyer recommends sending a request to the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, where the father was drafted or where he was registered, to provide copies of documents sent to the sister. After this, it is necessary to write an application for the payment of due amounts, such as salary and compensations.
Thus, children of fallen defenders can receive financial assistance, even if they do not have documents about their father's death, thanks to clear recommendations from lawyers.
This information is important for many families who have lost their loved ones during military actions, as it provides an opportunity to receive financial support during difficult times. The availability of assistance application procedures without the presence of death documents can become a significant relief for relatives of the deceased who find themselves in a difficult situation.
