The United Center in the Security Service of Ukraine organized a rehabilitation trip for children. The children were able to relax in Italy and communicate with the Pope.
Children Within the Bring Kids Back UA Program
The summer vacation was made possible by the 'Children at Home' project, created within the framework of the Ukrainian President's initiative Bring Kids Back UA in collaboration with the United Center for Coordination of Search and Release of Prisoners of War. 38 children who were at risk or had been displaced to temporarily occupied territories, as well as children of defenders of Ukraine, rested for two weeks in the Italian town of Postiglione.
'The main task of this program was to unite children who were illegally deported by the aggressor country and returned to Ukraine, in our large Ukrainian family. Also, the children whose relatives defend Ukraine. Unfortunately, some parents have died. And also the orphaned children, whom our state cares for.'- said Andriy Pasternak, the head of the United Center for Coordination of Search and Release of Prisoners of War.
The implementation of the project took place with the support of the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Italy, the Holy See, and the charitable organization 'GURU FUND'.
