The state supply operator is purchasing strengthened daily field food kits No. 15 for servicemen for the first Time. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

The department explained that this improved food kit provides full three meals for a serviceman under conditions where there is no possibility to prepare food.

Initial contacts for supplying strengthened rations have currently been made with three suppliers. Contracts with two others - which preliminarily won tenders for specific positions - were not signed because their documents turned out to not meet the tender requirements. Therefore, soon the state supply operator will reannounce tenders for these lots.

The Ministry of Defense reminded that at the end of September - early October, a survey regarding the contents and quality of rations was conducted among servicemen in the 'Army+' application. Most rated the quality of the kit quite highly and noted that it should be diversified and inclusive rations should be added.

It was previously reported that the Ministry of Defense determined the requirements for the caloric content of the main products supplied for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This decision was a result of inspections of military units, during which certain deficiencies were identified, including cases of supplying products with insufficient caloric content. According to Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klymenko, under war conditions, the physical and psychological burdens on servicemen are extremely high. Therefore, it is especially important that food products fully meet their nutritional and energy value needs.

It should be noted that at the beginning of 2025, the state supply operator will operate simultaneously under the 'old' and 'new' supply models.
