According to Novyny.live: A U.S. government-funded charity project is providing financial aid to residents of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast who have been severely impacted by the ongoing conflict. This initiative, titled 'The Response Consortium: Providing Multi-Sectoral Humanitarian Assistance to Conflict-Affected Populations in Ukraine (2023–2026)', aims to support individuals and families facing extreme hardship.
Registration for the program opened in February 2023. The aid amounts to 3,600 hryvnias per family member per month, providing a total of 10,800 hryvnias over a three-month period. This support is crucial for many families as the cost of living has risen sharply since the full-scale invasion. Eligibility criteria include:
- Not having received other cash payments for the prior three months,
- Possession of a valid residence certificate,
- Registration as an internally displaced person (IDP) since February 24, 2022,
- Residence in a designated target community, and
- A per-person income not exceeding 6,318 hryvnias.
Priority for assistance is given to people with disabilities, pensioners, single parents, and large families. Similar payments are also available to internally displaced persons and refugees in Ukraine through the UNHCR. To apply, citizens can register at the following address: 14 Yuliusha Slovatskoho Street, Dnipro. The application deadline for the Norwegian Refugee Council program is February 25.
