USS Gerald R. Ford in Latin waters
Donald Trump has sent the world's largest aircraft carrier into the waters of Latin America, and Nicolás Maduro is preparing for a confrontation. USS Gerald R. Ford, which carries more than 4,000 sailors and dozens of strike aircraft, has already entered the US Southern Command area. This is the largest military deployment of the United States in the region in recent times.“Our goal is to demonstrate the power and capability of the American armed forces in the region,” a Pentagon representative stated.Maduro, in turn, has announced his readiness to defend his country. His command has called the people to unity, emphasizing that they are ready to respond to any aggression from the United States.
“We are not afraid, and we will defend our national independence!” the President of Venezuela emphasized. The situation in the region remains tense. The presence of USS Gerald R. Ford has raised concerns not only in Venezuela but also in other Latin American countries that are closely monitoring the developments. Interaction between states and military buildup could further impact stability in the region.
