Material Support for Vulnerable Citizens

According to Novyny.live: Residents of the Soledar municipal community in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region, who have been displaced, may qualify for one-time annual financial assistance. This program aims to support families facing difficult circumstances, with payments ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH). The ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine has created significant hardship for many in the region, making such support crucial.

The payment amount depends on the recipient's category:

  • 5,000 UAH for families with children under 18;
  • 10,000 UAH for families with children with disabilities and for large families;
  • 5,000 UAH per child for orphans;
  • From 5,000 to 15,000 UAH for individuals over 65 and for persons with disabilities of groups I–II;
  • 10,000 UAH for individuals who have covered burial costs and for households using stove heating.

Applications can be submitted to Support Centers, open on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the following addresses:

  • Kyiv, 72/3 Boryslavska Street;
  • Dnipro, 30-D Heroiv Avenue;
  • Cherkasy, 20 Dobrovolskoho Street.

Applicants must prepare a document package including:

  • an application for the payment;
  • a copy of a passport;
  • an extract from the territorial community register;
  • a copy of the tax identification number;
  • a copy of a pension certificate (if applicable);
  • a certificate of registration as an internally displaced person (IDP);
  • a bank statement with IBAN details.

In a separate initiative, Norway will provide additional monetary aid by the end of winter. Preliminary applications for this Norwegian assistance are being accepted until February 25. This international support will offer further relief to those in need of financial help during a challenging period.

The introduction of material aid for vulnerable citizens is a vital step in supporting those affected by the conflict and economic hardships.

Local Authorities

Consequently, residents of the Soledar community have an opportunity to receive necessary assistance, which could significantly ease their lives amid current challenges.

This initiative not only alleviates the financial burden on families but also demonstrates the local authorities' efforts to aid displaced persons. It is expected that such support, combined with international assistance, will help improve living conditions for many people in the region.
