Long-awaited housing - certificates handed to Odesa veterans

Today, certificates for compensation for improving living conditions were handed to veterans of Odesa region. This way, heroes returning from the front are assisted in integrating into civilian life.

Certificates for veterans

Today, in the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, Natalia Kalmykova, and the head of the OVA, Oleg Kiper, presented certificates to veterans. Thanks to them, military personnel will be able to receive compensation for improving their living conditions.

"Veterans are one of the most passionate categories of the population, we are constantly in communication with veterans and receive feedback, studying what else needs to be provided to each veteran so that they can realize themselves in civilian life"

Veterans are satisfied

Dmytro Sova dreamed of getting his own housing since 2014, and today this has become possible thanks to assistance. The former serviceman defended Ukraine during the ATO. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he went to the front again. Now the man has returned and integrated into civilian life, working in a construction company.

"It was difficult to integrate into civilian life. I want to go back there, to the front, to my brothers. All my friends are there... But here they help us, the support for veterans is actually even greater than one can imagine"

What the certificates provide

Overall, almost 1,600 families across Ukraine have received such certificates. If a veteran has been disabled due to the war and has no housing, thanks to them, he can submit documents and queue for compensation. The project's funding is partially supported by international partners, particularly through the Ukraine Facility program.

The housing program for veterans with disabilities is planned to continue next year. The head of the Odesa OVA, Oleg Kiper, also congratulated military personnel. The official noted that assisting veterans is a priority task today.

"I want you to wake up with a smile every day. I wish you a peaceful Ukrainian sky"
The policy of supporting veterans in Ukraine is relevant and important. It is crucial to provide them not only with financial assistance but also with the conditions for successful reintegration into civilian life. Government programs that help veterans obtain housing play a significant role in this process.
