According to TSN.ua: In a significant escalation, the Leningrad region of Russia came under drone assault as unmanned aerial vehicles attempted to reach the capital. Governor Alexander Drozdenko confirmed that industrial targets at the Kirishi Oil Refinery (KINEF)—the largest refinery in the area—were hit. During the incident, three drones heading toward Moscow were destroyed.
Reports of the attack first emerged in the evening, with authorities stating that more than twenty drones had been shot down. NASA’s FIRMS mapping system detected multiple fire hotspots resulting from the strike. Moscow’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, confirmed the interception of the drones, stating:
