Drones attacked Russian Belgorod: fire broke out, there are casualties.
In the evening of March 17, Belgorod was attacked by drones. This caused a fire near the local shopping center 'Atlant', damaging its premises. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing Russian media.
The governor of Belgorod region confirmed the attack and reported that two people were injured. One of them lost a hand, while the other sustained an injury to the forearm.
Witnesses heard powerful explosions and saw a column of smoke. The drone attack caused a fire on the facade of the shopping center and on coniferous trees near the entrance. The fire has already been extinguished.
The injured were taken to the hospital.
Series of explosions in Belgorod
Earlier, a series of explosions occurred in Belgorod, after which fire broke out in several places simultaneously. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that, according to preliminary data, 8 civilians were injured, including two children.
Drone attacks in Ryazan region and Moscow region
Unknown drones attacked the Ryazan region on the night of March 10-11, and explosions were also heard in the Moscow region. Residents of the Ryazan region heard the sound of drones and reported between 10 and 17 explosions. It is reported that the attack took place near the 'Dyagilevo' airfield.
Residents of Moscow and the Moscow region also heard explosions. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that six drones were destroyed in the Ramensky district, and then several more were shot down.
