President's Report on the Return of Ukrainian Soldiers from Captivity
In his address on May 6, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky joyfully announced the return of 205 Ukrainian soldiers from Russian captivity, who defended various regions of the country, including Mariupol, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and others.
Highlighting the significant role of the military in the prisoner exchange process, Zelensky also thanked various institutions and organizations that participated in this process. During the course of the war with the Russian occupier, it has been possible to free already 4,757 Ukrainians.
In his address, the President also emphasized the importance of financial support for the army and protecting the Ukrainian sky from kamikaze drones using interceptors. Zelensky expressed confidence that the government would ensure stability in the financial support for servicemen and would also intensify efforts to produce such interceptors in cooperation with other countries.
The recently elected Chancellor of Germany also received words of thanks from the President for supporting Ukraine, particularly in matters of air defense. Zelensky also announced the activation of Ukrainian diplomacy and the preparation of new measures to pressure Russia.
