Ukraine's 'DrovaYe' Platform: Rural Residents Can Now Order Firewood Online at State-Set Prices.
How Ukraine's 'DrovaYe' Service Provides Affordable Heating Fuel to Villages
According to Novyny.live: Rural Ukrainians can now order firewood for home heating through the state-run online store 'DrovaYe.' This initiative aims to provide citizens with affordable heating resources, offering prices lower than those typically charged by intermediaries. Securing reliable and affordable heating fuel is a critical concern for many households, especially in regions heavily impacted by the ongoing conflict.
How to Place an Order for Firewood
The 'DrovaYe' online store is available to residents of the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. Each citizen is eligible to order up to 15 cubic meters of firewood per year. To place an order, users must log in using a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) or a bank identification service.
A Qualified Electronic Signature can be obtained from State Tax Service offices or remotely through participating banks, which include:
- Monobank
- PrivatBank
- Oschadbank
- Raiffeisen Bank
- Alfa-Bank
Citizens must specify the delivery address, select a state forestry enterprise, and choose the type and quantity of firewood. Upon delivery, recipients must present identification documents, including a passport and tax identification number.
This program simplifies the process for rural residents to obtain a vital heating resource during the cold season. The launch of the 'DrovaYe' online service reflects the government's efforts to ensure access to essential heating supplies, particularly amid rising energy costs. It also helps combat the shadow market and intermediary markups, promoting greater transparency in the firewood supply chain. Furthermore, the online ordering option can significantly ease the burden for many villagers who depend on this type of fuel during winter.
