Russian Attack on Slavutych: The City is Without Power, Generators Running.
According to ТСН: In the city of Slavutych, there were power supply issues following the Russian attack last night, and the shutdown plans are not being followed.
This was reported by the head of the military administration of Kyiv Oblast, Mykola Kalashnikov.
“Slavutych. We continue the restoration of energy facilities damaged by the enemy. As of this morning, private households have been partially reconnected to the grid. Water supply and heating are ensured,” the official emphasized.
The city's critical infrastructure has been switched to alternative energy sources. Stores, pharmacies, gas stations, and social institutions are operating thanks to generators and batteries. There are no issues with communication and the internet.
It should be noted that Slavutych remained without central power supply due to shelling; about 8,500 families are without power.
Attack on the Kyiv Region
We remind you that the Russians launched another attack on the Kyiv region on the night of January 5. Peaceful settlements, residential buildings, and critical infrastructure facilities were under fire. Particularly, the city of Slavutych was left without electricity. Social institutions are now operating with generators and batteries. Communication and the internet are working. There are also 'Unbreakable Points' in the city.
The situation in Slavutych remains complicated; however, the local administration is actively working on restoring the power grids. In the meantime, the residents of the city are trying to adapt to the new conditions, hoping for the quickest possible restoration of power supply and improvement of living conditions.
