The US President assessed Ukraine's efforts regarding the ceasefire
US President Donald Trump shared his opinion on Kyiv's efforts regarding the ceasefire, stating that more time is needed to assess the situation. He made these remarks during an event honoring law enforcement at the White House.
'Ukrainians are ready for a ceasefire. They are ready for peace negotiations,' Trump emphasized.
The president also added that he cannot definitively answer the question of whether Ukraine is doing enough to achieve peace, as he needs more time to work on this issue.
'I hope he wants to resolve this problem,' Trump noted, commenting on the question about President of Ukraine Zelensky.
On Monday, the US president also had a conversation with Russian leader Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky.
Kyiv's efforts towards peace in Ukraine are supported by the international community; however, it is important to continue taking steps to resolve the conflict in Donbas.
