Two residents of Transcarpathia attempted to illegally transport a group of men abroad. The offenders were held criminally liable, but they will not serve time in prison.

According to court documents, in April this year, the defendants agreed to transport seven military conscripts from the city of Irshava to a village in the Tyachiv district for their subsequent illegal transportation across the border outside of checkpoints. Together with the draft dodgers, the defendants bypassed checkpoints and reached Burshtyn, where the conscripts transferred to the vehicle of an accomplice. The case of this man is being examined in another proceeding.

Decision of the Court

After a deal with the prosecutor to plead guilty, the accused participants were sentenced to five years in prison for illegal border crossing, but the actual term of punishment was replaced with a conditional one year.

The court's decision can be appealed within 30 days after its announcement.

It should be recalled that in Kharkiv, a man was tried who collaborated with the Russian Federation and committed diversions and explosions on the enemy's orders.

There was also mention of a serviceman in Odesa who stole a bicycle and whiskey and was imprisoned and fined.
