British actor Jude Law has joined the new project by director Olivier Assayas, where he will portray the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in the film 'Kremlin Wizard', Deadline reports.
The film is based on the book by Giuliano da Empoli about political technologist Vadim Baranov, who worked with Putin at the beginning of his political career. Some compare this character to the real politician Vladislav Surkov.
'Right now, it feels like climbing Everest, so I stand at the base of the mountain, look up and think: 'Oh God, what have I said?'. I often feel this way when I say 'yes'. I thought: 'Oh God, how am I going to do this?'. But anyway, it's up to me to decide', the actor said.
