Eiffel Tower Closed Due to Staff Strike
Workers accuse the managing company of neglecting technical support and maintenance of the tower. They warn that if these issues are ignored, the tower may be completely closed to tourists before the opening of the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
The strike took place on December 27, the centenary of the death of the monument's creator, engineer Gustave Eiffel.
As a reminder, a fragment of the Eiffel Tower was sold at auction in Paris.
